Free

Today the word for the Advent countdown is "free."
This morning, it was 30 degrees outside (brrrr) for my run with Jason. When we were getting ready to go, he told me he knew he really needed the run because he was feeling a bit discouraged about things with work. As we ran some hills together near Candy Cane Lane, it was cold but sunny, and I know that we both were grateful for that gift of freedom that running gives to us.

I was praying that you too will find things in your life that make your heart sing again when you are feeling down and out- whether it be running, playing piano, playing basketball, playing soccer, or baking up a storm.
I also had to take this picture for you (in honor of your mom of course)
of the hat I wore this morning to keep warm.

Birds = freedom
and they remind me of this wonderful verse from Matthew:

 "Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, carefree in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds."
Matthew 6:26 (The Message)

May you be carefree in the care of God, Liam, and may you find things that bring you freedom!
