I smiled when I saw the word for the day that is community...
This picture below captures community well:
When I was talking to our neighbor Alyssa Petrie (the wonderful neighbor who has allowed us to go to their house on Whidbey Island a few times) about her daughter going to college, she shared one of the questions that they have asked their daughter. More than asking what she was going to major in or what kinds of things she was excited about on campus, they asked her "What community are you going to surround yourself with?"
This is one of the best questions and I want to pass it on to you too to consider as you continue with middle school at Eckstein and look forward to high school and even beyond to college. What community are you going to surround yourself with, Liam? This will be foundational and will determine your reference points and the environment that shapes you.
I am praying that you will seek after a community that helps you to love God and love others through your life. (One thing I can say from what I know about you is that you sure do seem to attract good folks around you. So keep it up and keep being a light to the world around you!)
